Big August Bank Holiday Weekend of Dance 2010!
Don't mow the lawn this bank holiday, come and have some fun with us instead!
Fri 27th - Mon 30th August 2010 at our Godalming dance venue, The Wey Inn, Meadrow, GU7 3HJ.
£30 for the whole weekend or £7 per session. (Monday daytime and evening counts as two sessions!)
DANCE SCHEDULE:
FRIDAY: Friday Night Salsa Party £7 entry
Dancing 7pm - midnight
7-8pm Tango practica
Informal group session for practising Tango and sharing ideas.
8-9pm Salsa beginners/improvers class
9-9.45pm Dips and Drops salsa class
9.45pm - midnight Freestyle dancing
SATURDAY: Afternoon Tea Dance £7 entry
Dancing 2 - 5pm
2-3pm Tango/salsa fusion class and practise time
3-4pm Jive/salsa fusion class and practise time
4-5pm Freestyle with tea and cakes!
SUNDAY: Charity Dance Gig £7 entry
Dancing 7.30 - 10.30pm
7.30-10.30pm Freestyle with LIVE MUSIC from Tumbling Dice (aka Jules and Paul) This will be a mixed freestyle with various different forms of music for several dance styles.
All money raised from this night will go towards local charity Pitstop - A day-time drop-in centre for the homeless, unemployed & socially isolated
MONDAY: All Day Latin Dance Event £14 entry (or £7 for just the evening)
Dancing 3 - 11pm
DAYTIME:
3-4pm Merengue dance lesson and practise time
4-5pm Bachata dance lesson and practise time
5-6pm Cha cha dance lesson and practise time
6-8pm Freestyle and dinner break
EVENING:
8-9pm Cuban salsa beginners/improvers
9-9.45pm Cuban salsa intermediates (possibly Rueda if gender balance allows)
9.45-11pm Freestyle dancing
Fully licensed bar and free parking.
